You might be waiting with bated breath for the fifth season of Mad Men to premiere on March 25th, but in the meantime, you’ll be pleased to know that the auburn-haired beauty Christina Hendricks appears on the cover for our upcoming March issue. In it, Hendricks opens up about her role as the buxom and brassy Joan Holloway and how her character has inspired her to be more assertive and sexy in real life — and to fill her closet with a personal collection of ’60s fashions. Our cover girl also details her blossoming film career, which kick-started with last summer’s surprise hit, Drive.
Speaking of Mad Men, Jon Hamm’s main squeeze (and producing partner) Jennifer Westfeldt chats with her Friends With Kids co-star Adam Scott about directing her first feature, which also stars Bridesmaids alumni Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, and Chris O’Dowd. Funny guys Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim give us a guided tour of the Sundance Film Festival, where their new comedy Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie shocked and appalled Park City audiences. Starlet Lynn Collins talks about playing a Martian princess in the upcoming sci-fi epic John Carter, and indie rock gods Sleigh Bells offer an annotated look at their stellar new album, Reign of Terror.
Pick up a copy of the March issue, on newsstands next week, and check back with BBook.com for full coverage!

Christina Hendricks' Red Carpet Looks

Mad Men actress (and Lucky cover girl) Christina Hendricks knows how to rock the red carpet—and really, considering her retro-calendar-girl curves, the actress could probably wear a paper bag and still make the Best Dressed lists. Still, the visual evidence is clear: From short and chic frocks (thank you, Dolce & Gabbana) to va-va-voom gowns (witness her 2008 Emmy dress below), Hendricks isn’t afraid to take fashion risks, even though she’s aware of the stakes: “For award shows, people are taking pictures of every inch of you. They are taking pictures of your fingers and your toes!” she says. Here’s what the famous redhead has to say about some of her favorite looks.

Christina Hendricks: Actress by day, Web Shopper by Night!

We are madly girl-crushing on Christina Hendricks here at Lucky. What’s not to love about her? She’s proud of her curves, has the most fabulous hair color we’ve ever seen, and simultaneously scares the hell out of us and earns our empathy as Mad Men’s Joan (all while wearing clothes so chic we wish we could transport ourselves back straight back to the ’60s). As it turns out, Hendricks is as uniquely stylish off-screen as she is on, which made us think, ‘Hey, I want to shop where she’s shopping!’ She coolly cooperated and made it easy for us (and you) to crib her style.
